Self Defense for senior project

On Thursday April 25 2013, i went to boxing class. We warmed up with 6 minutes of jump ropes and shadow boxing. My coach had the class go over some flow drills for about 4 rounds, after we did some rounds of contact drills and while we worked on our moves our coach watch each and everyone to see if we were all doing it with proper technique. After 4 rounds of that we went back to flow drills and finished up with shadow boxing.

On Wednesday April 24 2013, I participated in the muay thai class. Which is kind of like kick boxing, but with elbows and knees. We started with jump ropes for 5 minutes for our warm up, after that we did some shadow boxing. When we were done with the warm ups we didnt a series of combinations on the thai pads. Thai pads are used for kicking and punching. That was most of class and it was a pretty good exercise.

Self defense for senior project

Today we went over basic drills for brazilian jiu jitsu, all we did was work from the mount. Meaning one person tries to get control over the other person from going over the top and mounting the other person. Afterwards we did some cool down drills and began to sparr.

Self Defense for Senior Project

On Tuesday April 19 2013, we mainly worked on contact drills for most of the class. My mentor had us give and receive different combinations for the first couple rounds. Afterwards we did some other contact drills which consisited of repetetive combinations with a partner. That went on for about 3 3:00 minute rounds. When that was over, from 8:10-8:30 we continued class with contact drills. We ended with shadow boxing.
