Final blog post
While working on my research paper i had to go on several different websites just to find comparisons between each website, looking to see if some facts on one website matched the other. I asked my teacher for some ways i can find more facts about my research paper as i also used noodle tools to help my organize my outline. When it came time for editing i always asked for feedback from whoever had my paper. From the project as a whole i learned the dangers of aggravated assault and also that really discipline is a key part of projects that ask for many things. Personally i learned to push myself mentally when times because a little rough. Most of the challenges came from my physical project. The training was usually hard and my conditioning was put to the test, when i became physically and emotionally tired i would have to use my mental strength to pull me through it all. I tend to give up easily but i had to push myself constantly because i knew that was the right thing to do. Completing most aspects of the Capstone project was challenging but i learned a lot from it as well.

When it hit 7:00 we sparred for a good 30 minutes. For boxing class we simply did our normal warm ups and also drills to help strengthen our legs. We did drills for most of the class which consisted of contact drills and other drills that improved technique. We finished with shadow boxing.

On Saturday May 11 I went to the boxing class. It was fairly easy. After that I sparred with my teammates who had fights coming up and we did some kickboxing rounds.

May 10 2013 I went to MMA practice which is striking and grappling all in one. It was a small class and for most of the time we worked with just one person. Our coach had me and my partner do some take down drills and afterwards we did some light sparring. He had me work on keeping the fight on my feet and stay away from my partner's take downs. I found that to be challenging because my partner was ranked 3rd in his division in CCS. Basically saying he was a pretty good wrestler. After the four rounds of light sparring we did another drill on the ground and we finished class with shadow boxing.

On May 9th i went to the boxing class. Today was different, my other teammate who also had a fight coming up was the main focus of the class, so what we did was this drill called shark bait. He stays in the middle and the rest of the team makes a circle around him. Every minute that passes by a new person would sparr with him. We all had to work together and push him to get the most out of the work out. We ended class with shadow boxing.

Self Defense for Senior Project
Yesterday May 8th 2013, i participated in the kick boxing class. We did our basic warm ups and we got right into thai pads. Again my mentor had me help out one of my teammates who was preparing for a fight, my goal for yesterday was to keep him honest and consistent with his work. Push him to work harder and stay calm, even though i have a hard time myself. When it was my turn he returned the favor, we ended class with sparring and some clinch sparring and i ended even earlier because my left shoulder was starting to ache.

On Saturday May 4, i went to boxing class to try and work on my jab which is a punch thrown by my left arm. My coach had me keep my arm tight to my body, whenever my elbow would poke out she would correct my immediately. I was having somewhat of a hard time because i really wouldnt notice so we kept doing the same thing over and over again until it happened more naturally. After awhile i was able to do so. Afterwards we did some sparring for kickboxing and for each round my coach had my doing specific things and listen to everything he said to help my listening skills for when im really inside the ring.

On Wednesday April 24 2013, I participated in the muay thai class. Which is kind of like kick boxing, but with elbows and knees. We started with jump ropes for 5 minutes for our warm up, after that we did some shadow boxing. When we were done with the warm ups we didnt a series of combinations on the thai pads. Thai pads are used for kicking and punching. That was most of class and it was a pretty good exercise.

When that was over, from 8:10-8:30 we continued class with contact drills. We ended with shadow boxing.

Self defense for senior project
Monday March 11, 2013. We started Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at six, we warmed up our legs by running and doing different types of leg exercises. We did forward/backward rolls up and down the mat, we also did BJJ drills for warm ups. Then we went over a technique of how to escape from an opponents hold, we went over the technique for several minutes. Around seven we began sparring which means each person had to go against another person in the Gym and we all had to try to submit each other. Six minutes each round.

Self defense for senior project(late post)
On Tuesday March 12, 2013. I started practice at the usual time, 7:30. We warmed up with the usual 6:00 minutes of jump rope. We did several contact drills. Our first contact drill we all had two hits each on each other. Second contact drill we had three hits, the third round we did the same thing. Afterwards we did some movement drills by staying on our toes moving from left to right forward front and back. Most of the rounds were four minutes instead of three, it was a pretty good workout and i learned some new things as well.

Today our coach had us go over technique for a proper body shot. She gave an example and by watching we all saw that it was a two step hit. Our warm-ups consisted with six minutes of jump rope, after that we all did contact drills. Contact drills meaning direct contact with gloves, we all had to hit each other twice and move around for about three minutes. Towards the end of class we had one body shot round, for three minutes we would have to deliver two to three body shots back to back. We ended class with shadow boxing. Im not sure how to explain shadow boxing.. So yeah, sorry.

Stranger than fiction
The role of the author is to write out the story or document a story, the narrator provides the voice that speaks while the story goes on. The author writes the story but the narrator verbally says it. One example is when the author was typing someone else was saying what the author was writing out loud. I didnt know what i was doing for the paper, i just went with what sounded right or what looked okay.
